Fake news is disinformation that is disseminated for political purposes, economic gain, or entertainment.
This unfounded claim seems to be only for economic gain by the ones who distributed the false information. The LAPD had retained one report from last year and will be taking a new report once these fake posts have been translated. Seems like there are multiple investigations, both criminal and civil ongoing.
